Colonial Park in Rome Offering a Tribute for Veterans Day

Colonial Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Rome has a calendar full of annual events. There's the Fall Festival, Halloween Parties, Holiday Shoppe along with their usual luncheons and picnics. Now they're adding a Veterans Tribute, and you're invited.

Kelly Mccowan with Colonial Park says they wanted "to honor residents and their family members" who have served or are serving in the military. She adds, "everyone in the community is welcome to attend too." The tribute is the day after Veteran's Day November 12 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Here's what's happening:

• A representative of The Tuskegee Airmen will speak and have a Flag Display
• Rome Mayor, Jacqueline Izzo will present certificates to residents who are veterans.
• Rome Police and other civic and city groups will be involved.
