The Root Farm in Sauquoit is expanding their outdoor adventure and learning experiences by adding a brand new Challenge Course.

The new challenge course is a state of the art course that is unique because of it's full accessibility to the able-bodied and handicapped alike.

High and low ropes courses will have several different obstacles to climb on, around and over.

The course will also feature rock climbing walls and a zip-line that is wheelchair accessible through the use of a specially-designed harness.

The high ropes course has six different obstacles and can even be used by those with limited use of their legs.

Finally, the new zip-line will cover 1,000 feet and can be used by everyone, regardless of ability through the use of the Root Farm's Action TrackChair - a wheelchair with tank-like treads that lets users travel through almost any terrain.

You can find more information on the Root Farm's new Challenge Course at RootFarm.org, and you can see the plans for all of the course's features at the Root Farm's website.
