Central New York Winter Storm Warning Thursday, November 15
These things just keep progressing, we've gone from Winter Weather Advisory to Winter Storm Watch and now it's a full blow Winter Storm Warning. The National Weather Service says Central New York can expect a significant amount of snow. Here's the when and where.
The Warning is in effect from 5 this afternoon (11/15) until 10 Friday morning (11/15).
WHAT... Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 5 to 9 inches expected.
WHEN... Snow develops late this afternoon into evening and persists overnight before diminishing Friday morning.
WHERE... Northern Oneida, Seneca, Southern Cayuga, Onondaga, Madison, Southern Oneida, Cortland, Chenango, and Otsego Counties.
Northern Herkimer-Hamilton-Southern Herkimer-Northern Warren-Northern Fulton counties are also under a Winter Storm Warning from 7 tonight until 1 Friday afternoon. Snowfall totals will be 6 to 10 inches.
Winter Weather Preparation:
