Another hot one in Central New York. The National Weather Service has extended the Heat Advisory until 8 tonight.

LOCATIONS... Northern and Southern Oneida, Onondaga, Madison, Yates, Seneca and Southern Cayuga.

HEAT INDEX VALUES... Near 100 degrees due to temperatures in the lower 90s, and dewpoints around 70.

TIMING... Highest heat indices will be from noon to 5 p.m.

WHAT TO DO...As always drinking plenty of fluids and stay indoors as much as possible. And check on older relatives and neighbors. Reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or evening and wear lightweight and loose-fitting clothing.

We'll be in for another scorcher on Wednesday, temperatures again will be near 90.  So far no Heat Advisory has been issued.
