Celebrities turned out to say their final farewell to Philip Seymour Hoffman who died of an alleged drug overdose February 1st. His funeral was held in New York City Friday February 7th at St. Ignatius of Loyola church.

Hoffman's family released a statement:

'We are devastated by the loss of our beloved Phil and appreciate the outpouring of love and support we have received from everyone," read a statement from his family. "This is a tragic and sudden loss and we ask that you respect our privacy during this time of grieving. Please keep Phil in your thoughts and prayers.'

The family asks donations be made in Phil’s name to The DreamYard Project and the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation.
