Remember the 8-year-old whose video went viral when she used American Sign Language to rock out to Carrie Underwood's hit "The Champion"? That little girl, Savannah Dahan, finally got to meet Underwood and actually sign along with her!

Dahan and her parents attended Underwood's Cry Pretty 360 Tour stop in Washington, D.C. at Capital One Arena on Friday (Oct. 4) night.

Her family documented their entire concert experience on their Instagram stories. They shared a video of Dahan signing to Underwood performing "Good Girl," and Underwood herself stopped to wave and use ASL to sign to Dahan in the crowd. After the show, Dahan met Underwood's four ASL interpreters for the evening.

Once backstage, Underwood sang "The Champion" a cappella while Dahan enthusiastically signed the lyrics with her. Underwood tweeted the video with kind words, "Savannah! You bring so much joy to #TheChampion! Thank you for such a special moment last night in D.C.," Underwood wrote.

Dahan is a third grader who was born deaf. She told Good Morning America earlier this year that Underwood is her all-time favorite singer. “I love her songs because it is easy to understand and her expressions are clear,” she said.

“She was born deaf, really called moderate to severe hearing loss, but because the whole family is deaf she identifies as deaf,” her father, Richard Dahan, explained. “She does wear hearing aids at times, at home and at school.”

Once Underwood saw the viral video, she invited Dahan and her family to one of her concerts and to meet her via Twitter.
