The first day of summer is officially June 21, and that happens to be the official first day of Utica's Summer Fest 2018.

Utica's Summer Fest is a 3 day celebration of everything Utica featuring live music, world class street performers, fun activities for the entire family and food and beverages in the heart of Downtown Utica.

Genesee Street from Elizabeth St. to Blandina St. will be closed to regular traffic, as well as Devereux St, Thursday 6/21 2 - 9pm and Friday (6/22) & Saturday (6/23) from 3-9pm. All three streets will be pedestrian only zones during Festival hours.

The music begins on Thursday night at 4:30 with St. Paul's Baptist Church Choir, and continues each day.

You'll also have the chance to take home $500 each night with the Best Summer Fest Dressed award.

Come dressed in the best theme costume and you could win.

  • Thursday's theme is Summer Solstice
  • Friday's theme is colorful '70's
  • Saturday's theme is the best Parrot Head
