Another Central New York Hunter Busted by Facebook
Here's a tip if your about to do some illegal hunting in Central New York. Don't brag about it on Facebook. The only thing that would be dumber is posting it twice. Oh wait this guy did.
A Dewitt hunter decided to brag about bagging a couple of trophy bucks during archery season on his Facebook page. Obviously, it caught the attention of the Department of Environmental Conservation and Officer Don Damrath began to investigate. While trying to locate the suspect, the hunter posted a picture of 3rd and even bigger buck he had taken.
Add in a couple of false statements during the interview process and this guy is in some huge legal trouble including the possibility of losing his hunting privileges. The investigation concluded two of the deer were shot over bait in the backyard near a suburban neighborhood.
