Annual Boilermaker Walk Has Been Cancelled

One other part of Boilermaker weekend that you could take part in was the annual Boilermaker Walk. The event has been cancelled from the The Boilermaker Road Race Committee going forward.

Organizers cite dwindling registration numbers and lack of interest as reason for cancelling the event. The first walk back in 2001 had over 1,300 walker, and in 2016 the event had just 376.

The Boilermaker Kids' Run is still scheduled to take place as normal. Runners in this non-competitive event receive a t-shirt, a gift, and refreshments after the run.
