It's not too late to catch the train up to Remsen for a fun ride on the Adirondack Scenic Railroad's 'Beer and Wine Train.'

If you have never experienced the Adirondack Scenic Railroad, this is definitely something you want to make time for - At least once. What better time to do that, than when they're running their "Beer and Wine Train Ride?"

The Adirondack Scenic Railroad offers a variety of train rides for different events throughout the year, from checking out the fall foliage (which takes you to Thendara, near Old Forge) to something special for the kids like meeting the Easter Bunny (which takes you to Remsen).

The Beer and Wine Train starts in the spring and runs through October, but only on certain days. The next one is Friday, July 15th. So what can you expect on this special trip up to Remsen? According to the Adirondack Scenic Railroad,

We will provide music and light snacks, with award winning cheeses provided by Cabot Cheese. Beer, wine, and non alcoholic beverages are available for purchase. Ride in our first class car and enjoy gourmet hor d’oeuvres with table service along with samplings of choice beer and wine.

The train will leave Union Station in Utica at 6:30pm on the day of the trip (with boarding beginning at 6pm). The trip will take you to the Remsen station where it will stop and you can take a break, get out and stretch, and even check out the gift shop inside the Remsen Depot. Then you'll head back to Union Station.

The Beer and Wine Train is offered on the following dates for the rest of the 2016 year:

Friday, July 15th
Friday, August 12th
Friday, September 16th
Friday, September 30th
