A Change For Vendors On Saranac Thursdays

If you've been to a Saranac Thursday at the F.X. Matt Brewery, you've probably noticed various street vendors and food carts on Varick Street. Now, there's some new rules for those vendors.

According to our sister station, WIBX:

"The Utica Common Council voted to amend the provisions of the Peddlers and Sidewalk Vendors legislation at last night’s meeting.

Now vendors participating in Saranac Thursday events will not be allowed to set up before 5:00 and can use a designated “vendor court”, which will be located in the public parking lot between the Nail Creek Pub and Donato’s Bakery.

The group also established a “No Parking” rule for that lot on Thursday nights, so that vendors can utilize that parking area."
