5 Totally Utica Things Every Central New Yorker Should Experience [VIDEO & PHOTO]
These are a few things everyone should try to fit into their schedule. These experiences will make great memories for those young and old alike. Everyone needs something to look forward to. This would make a great Stay-cation.
Visit The Utica Zoo
It's open 363 days a year. They have over 200 Animals from around the globe and even have classes and programs available to everyone. It's been here for over 100 years. The Utica Zoo would be a perfect day in my book.
Saranac Thursdays
On a beautiful Thursday night under the stars in Utica I would love to see some fantastic local music, enjoy great local beer and food. Grab your friends and let's have some fun at Saranac Thursday!!!
New York State Fair
I've never been to the New York State Fair. I hear it's something everyone should do at least once. I love my fair food and can't wait to see the crazy choices. All the great music, shows, animals, shopping and I'ts right in our back yard. I'm looking forward to it this year. There is not much for free anymore and we get 12 days of free entertainment in Chevy Court. Well, we do have to pay to get in I guess.
Ziplining At Sunset
There's actually quite a few choices within driving distance of Utica. This looks like it would be so much fun. Exhilarating actually. The view must be gorgeous. It would be amazing in the fall at Hunter Mtn.
I'm scared of heights but I still want to do this.
Field Days in the Utica area
Most of the communities in our area have some sort of Field Days hosted by our volunteer firefighters. They usually include food, rides of some sort, music, and lot's of beer. It's where all your neighbors will be. We might as well join them and help support a great cause.
