10-Year-Old Opens Free Christmas Store for the Less Fortunate in Central New York
A 10-year-old is bringing the magic of finding gifts under the Christmas tree to children in central New York with a free Christmas store.
Autumn Barrick's started Operation Kindness with a mission to make sure kids have something during the holidays. She collects toys, money and clothing throughout the year to put in a Free Christmas Toy Store for the less fortunate in Madison County.
The store is open Saturday, December 1st from 9am-4pm in the Fulton City Hall Community Room. Each shopper can take two new or gently used gifts for each child in their home. There will even be winter coats and free raffles.
Thanks to Autumn, more children in central New York will have a little something to open Christmas morning, making her our 'Kinney Kid of the Month.' For her efforts, she receives a $200 Kinney Drugs gift card that she can use to either buy more toys or spend on herself.
