Got milk? Thousands of gallons spilled on Interstate 81 after a tractor trailer crash.

It happened Sunday afternoon, November 24th. Seth Eaton of McGraw, New York took Exit 37 in Sandy Creek when he noticed a vehicle parked along the shoulder. State Police say he over-corrected, lost control, hit a signpost and overturned.

The accident threw Eaton from the tractor trailer. Luckily he wasn't seriously injured and was taken to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse.

The exit ramp was closed for several hours as crews cleared 7,200 gallons of milk from the highway.

State Police were assisted at the scene by NYS DOT, NYS DEC Spill Response, Oswego County HAZMAT, Sandy Creek Fire Department, Pulaski Fire Department, NOCA ambulance, and Oswego County Fire Coordinators.
