I know you have those leftovers in your refrigerator you promised yourself you would eat later and never did. They've been sitting in there for two weeks now, and you're too afraid to lift the lid off the tupperware--if the smell doesn't gross you out, the mold sure will. So, in honor of National Clean Out Your Refrigerator Day, which is today, toss out those leftovers you know you're not going to eat.

I can't be the only one out there who has left leftovers in the refrigerator for days...ummm, maybe even weeks. You know you're not going to eat it, but you haven't mustered up the courage to toss it in the garbage. Well, there's not better day than today, especially being that it is so close to Thanksgiving.

After doing a bit of research, there is no concrete origin of this holiday. Although, many websites do mention the fact that National Clean Out Your Refrigerator Day is so close to the Thanksgiving holiday, it's reminding people to make room for all the food that will inevitably be squeezed into the refrigerator in just a few short days.

So, how many times a week, month or year do you clean out your refrigerator? Do you clean it out around this time in anticipation for Thanksgiving?
