Free Thanksgiving Meals in Utica Area

At least three Utica area groups will be serving free Thanksgiving meals this year.  Some find it a rewarding experience to volunteer to help with the preparation and serving, while others enjoy the fellowship of others for the meal.  Many ask that you please make reservations so they know how much food to prepare as cooking will being early next week.

Thanksgiving Day In The NFL

The "Frog Days of Fall" are filled with "The Boys of Fall", and so is Thanksgiving Day. Years ago, the Detroit Lions were the first (and only) team in the NFL to play their regular weekly game on a day other than Sunday - Thursday, Thanksgiving Day. It didn't take long for "America's Team" Dallas Cowboys to join in hosting a Thanksgiving Day game. Of course, whoever played the Lions or Cowboys had to play on Thanksgiving Day too, on the road!
