In my 44 years of radio I have heard a lot of great music and a lot of not so great music but I rarely get excited about a new release. This is one of those occasions. One of my favorite country bands from the mid-90's, the Mavericks, is back with a new CD called "In Time" and it will released next Tuesday, January 29. Check out these samples.

Mary Chapin Carpenter was one of the hottest female artists in country music back in the early 90's with 12 top ten hits and 5 Grammy Awards. She curtailed her recording career somewhat to concentrate on writing songs for other people for the remainder of the decade and the early 2000's. Now she is back with a CD called "Ashes and Roses" with a release date set for June 12. According to The Boot she will be joined by a music legend from the pop world.

New Leann Rimes Album In Stores Today

It seems like Leann Rimes has been in the headlines for everything but her music lately. Stories about her marriage to Eddie Cibrian and her alleged weight problems abound but little attention has been given to her upcoming CD which is available today. The album, "Lady and the Gentlemen", has a somewhat unusual theme.
