For what was forecast to be a cloudy, rain and cold day, the Michael Oltmann outing without golf clubs turned into a sunny, beautiful one at Heron Creek Golf Course. The annual event saw family and friends come out to raise money for the Michael Oltmann Waterville High School scholarship by shooting golf balls from cannons and water balloon launchers.

Oltmann is the Waterville teen tragically killed in a motorcycle accident in June of 2014. In an effort to keep his memory alive, the Michael Oltmann Outing without golf clubs was born. Michael may be gone but his presence was felt throughout the day yesterday as the clouds parted to make room for the sun to shine down on all of us.

The most creative award goes to the 'Parrr Tee of Fore,' who not only came dressed as pirates but decorated their carts with pirate flags too.

Thank you to everyone who made the annual Michael Oltmann Outing a huge success. Whether it was a sponsorship, donation or golfing without clubs, your support helped raise close to $5,000 to keep Michael Oltmann's memory alive for years to come.

Check out video and photos highlights from the day.
