Gilbert Gottfried's days as a talking duck are over.

Aflac fired the comedian, who voiced the insurance companies mascaot in commericials, after he tweeted offensive jokes about the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

 He Tweeted:
- Japan is really advanced. They don't go to the beach. The beach comes to them.
- What does every Japanese person have in their apartment? Flood lights.
- I was talking to my Japanese real estate agent. I said "is there a school in this area." She said "not now, but just wait."
- My Japanese doctor advised me to stay healthy I need 50 million gallons of water a day.

Gottfried has been voicing the ads for Aflac since 2000.  A company who does a majority of their business in Japan.  1 in 4 homes have Aflac for their health insurance.  The company CEO has flown to the area to show support and they've donated over a million dollars to the relief efforts

Aflac released a statement saying, "Gilbert's recent comments about the crisis in Japan were lacking in humor and certainly do not represent the thoughts and feelings fo anyone at Aflac...Aflac will immediately set plans in motion to conduct a nationwide casting call to find a new voice of the iconic Aflac Duck."

If they are looking for a voice as annoying, they may want to consider Fran Drescher.  Who do you think would make a good replacement?
