Additional Information

The YMCA of the Greater Tri-Valley will offer film making classes for children ages 6-18 starting January 11th at the New Hartford SACC Center.

Among the classes is the Children’s Film Making Program that runs for 24 weeks and teaches students the entire film making process.  This program concludes with students showcasing their very own film with a red carpet premiere.  The program is geared for children ages 10-18 and begins January 9th.

Younger children, ages 6-10, can participate in the Kids on Camera program.  This program will introduce them to all aspects of film.  Children must have the ability to read.  Participants will have the opportunity to audition for the film produced by students in the Film Making Program.  The Kids on Camera program begins on February 27th.

Children ages 10-18 can hone their acting ability with Advanced Acting Classes.  Classes will begin on January 11th and are great for those actors that have had previous training and are ready for a challenge.  The class will include advanced scene study.
