Written by local author, Eric Almleaf, “The Summer Fox” is an enchanting story which is reminiscent of Japanese folklore with an overlay of anime. This timeless play is the story of Inari and Musoka, two young people who experience love, loss and friendship while attempting to deal with the reality of life. Audiences will identify with the struggles and joys of the two characters, while the lyrical writing will quickly engage everyone. Directed by Denise Borek Morganti and assisted by Adrian Maggio, the play stars two local talents, Merissa Marthage and Dan Goewey. Miss Marthage has recently been seen in the acclaimed play, “Kindertransport” while Goewey has been the star of several musicals. Audiences won’t want to miss their chance to see the premiere of this whimsical tale. The play will be presented October 24 and 25 at 7:30 PM and on October 26 at 2:30 PM. Rome Community Theater is located on Upper Turin Road in the Town of Lee. Tickets are $10 for the general public and $5 for season ticket holders. For further information, please call 337-5920.
