Slocum Dickson is teaming up with the American Heart Association to host a free community Hands-Only CPR training class on Wednesday June 3rd at Slocum Dickson Medical Group located at 1729 Burrstone Road in New Hartford. Stop by either 6PM or 6:30PM.
Participants can choose from two times 6:00pm or 6:30pm. The class will be conducted by American Heart Association Hands-Only CPR trainers. The class is free and open to the public. Please sign up by calling 798-1885.
Hands-Only CPR is a technique that does not involve any mouth to mouth contact. Although it is different from traditional CPR, it still has the potential to save a life. According to the American Heart Association, 90 percent of people who suffer out-of-hospital cardiac arrests die. CPR, especially if performed immediately, can double or triple a cardiac arrest victim’s chance of survival.
