COMMUNITY INVITED TO CRAFT SALE EXTRAVAGANZA
Portion of the proceeds benefit American Cancer Society
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in Utica
Utica, NY August – From August 18th – August 20th, our team, The Crafty Ladies, will hold their 12th Annual “Craft Sale Extravaganza”, showcasing their handmade, handcrafted items for sale. A portion of the funds raised from the event will benefit the “American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Utica”, which will be held on Sunday, October 15 at the Masonic Care Community.
For the 8th year, The Crafty Ladies are teaming up with the American Cancer Society. Each of the vendors will be donating 10% of their weekend sales to benefit the “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” walk. “Hosting the Craft Sale Extravaganza and supporting the American Cancer Society is important to us because cancer has touched all or our lives in one form or another,” said event organizer, Linda Laubenthal of Knits & Bits by Linda.
The event will be held Friday, August 18th from 12pm to 5pm, Saturday August 19th from 10am- 5pm, and Sunday, August 20th from 12pm to 5pm at the Laubenthal residence, 7 Shelly Place, North Utica, off of Deerfield Drive East.
Donated items from crafters around the state as well as local businesses will be available in their auction. A “goodies” table offering sweet treats will be available for sale with 100% of the proceeds going to “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer”. Plan on joining them for the celebration of their 12th year and support the fight to end breast cancer.
The American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk will unite the community with a shared determination to help create a world free from the pain and suffering caused by breast cancer. Dollars raised by Making Strides supporters help the American Cancer Society ensure no one faces breast cancer alone by funding innovative breast cancer research; promoting education and risk reduction; and providing comprehensive patient support to those who need it most.
