August 2, 2012 Gino, a guy in our office was making fun of Olympic badminton, saying it wasn't even a sport and how hard can it be. Kristine Bellino in our newsroom and I, use to play in high school and tried to explain it wasn't as easy as it looked. Gino then went to bragging, like 20 year old boys often do, that he could beat us both. So being the competitive people Kristine and I are, we challenged him to a match.

August 2, 2012 A major fire at the former Union Tools factory in Frankfort had a number of firefighters, from several counties on scene for hours. The smoke could be seen for miles. The fire destroyed a number of buildings on the property but no one was injured.

July 31, 2012 Let me first start out by saying, I love animals. Yes, even squirrels. They're really cute, right? Anyway, with that being said, it seems every time I put birdseed in the bird feeder, the squirrels think it's their personal buffet. Am I mad? No, not at all. I just hope they leave a few seeds for the birds! Check out the acrobatics this squirrel is doing to get a meal. One time, I filled that bird feeder with seed, and in two days it was empty. I just hope everyone is sharing.
July 29, 2012 Saturday Jeremiah and I took the scenic drive down Route 20 to AJ's Archery just outside of Cazenovia for a live action broadcast. In between reports owner John Laubscher gave us the opportunity to try out both compound and crossbows. To be honest, the last time I had a bow and arrow in my hands the arrow had a rubber suction cup on the end of it so, yes, it had been awhile. Check out our amateur archers form.
