On this day in 1977, "It Was Almost Like A Song" by Ronnie Milsap was the number one country song in the U.S.A., and that will kick off our "Country Classic Double" this morning at 11:30. During the "Frog Days Of Summer", Ronnie will be performing at Chevy Court on Sunday, August 26th at 2:00 p.m., at the Great New York State Fair in Syracuse. And as you may know, the Chevy Court shows are free, once you pay admission to the fair.

Another great night at Sylvan Beach with Big Frog's weekly Country Showcase and round 1 of The Texaco Country Showdown.  Corey Walts of Redwood advanced to the final round, check out his performance of "Seven Spanish Angels."  The Custom Taylor Band capped off the night with a free two hour show.

The weather during the "Frog Days of Summer" has been ideal for so many outdoor events, and it's looking good again for tonight's Saranac Thursday. My good friend and colleague Matt Herkimer and I attended last week's Saranac Thursday to cheer on fellow Frog DJ James Pond and his band. Tonight, music is provided by "Crazy Fools". (hmmmm...I'm glad that wasn't in the same sentence with Matt and me).
