Brantley Gilbert fans at a recent album release show in Los Angeles got a very special treat when he performed a brand-new song called "Rockin' Chairs." During the concert at iHeartRadio Theater, the singer debuted the sentimental track off his forthcoming The Devil Don’t Sleep album.

"Rockin' Chairs" kicks off with a memorable guitar riff before Gilbert's familiar gruff vocals enter. Singing about how one day he and his wife will be much older and spend their time reminiscing and reliving the good old days, he explains how "these are the days" they'll be talking about.

“So we can say we were there when we talk about it in our rockin’ chairs,” he sings on the chorus of the song about living in the moment.

Gilbert's upcoming The Devil Don’t Sleep album includes 16 tracks and 10 additional songs on the deluxe edition. As with his previous albums, the songs provide insight into his life.

“A lot has happened,” he says in a press release. “And anyone who knows me knows that every album is another chapter of my life. Even though it’s my life, even though some of what I write about is very specific to what happens to me, I think the challenges, the places where we figure things out are all the same -- no matter what we’re facing, realizations all mean the same things.”

“By now, everyone knows the story turned out okay for me,” he adds, referencing a past that includes substance abuse and an on-again, off-again relationship with his now-wife. “But the truth is there’s always temptation, there’s always something -- whether it’s work or substances or gambling or whatever -- that can pull you off the path. For me, thankfully, I got through it, got the girl back, got to keep my career moving.”

The Devil Don’t Sleep arrives on Jan. 27. The first single from the album is "The Weekend."
