You may not recognize his name or his face, but if you listen to Big Frog 104, you've heard his work. Geoff Storm is the Mohawk Valley's Ad Person of the Year and he's the one behind the scenes, working on everything you hear on the radio that isn't music. From the imaging between the songs to commercials, he's the brains behind it all.

Storm is able to take a crazy idea out of someone's head and create audio magic with the voices in his own head. 'Splash' and 'Hop-a-Long' have appeared in several Big Frog promos and I'm like a kid on Christmas every time he produces a new one. It's hard to pick just one as my favorite. Take a listen to the best of his 'Splash' and 'Hop-a-Long' work.

Storm has over 15 New York State Broadcasters Association Awards for excellence in broadcasting and in 2004, he was a Radio Mercury Award finalist. He also volunteers in the community and created the innocence project, documenting the story of Steve Barnes' wrongful incarceration.

Storm is the man behind all my Tour de Cure videos and is among the first to pitch in when help is needed at any Big Frog or Town Square Media event. I'm privileged to work with Storm and even more privileged to call him my friend.

Geoff was honored during a dinner at the Radisson hotel last night.
