Shortly after joining the WUTR Eyewitness News team in March of 2015, anchor Mike Hoey was diagnosed with testicular cancer. Since then he has been battling the disease with extreme courage and now his treatment is almost complete. He has received so many great messages of support from viewers and even one from a very familiar face!

ConFROGulations to WKTV's Don Shipman who was crowned Central New York's best news personality.  The morning anchor took over 55% of the votes, while Kristine Bellino from WIBX 950 came in second with close to 25% of the vote.  WUTR's Rachel Polansky rounded out the poll with 20% of vote getters.
