Do you love Urban Exploration? There are plenty of abandoned places to explore in Upstate New York. One group recently got permission to go inside an abandoned power plant in Amsterdam, just down the thruway from Utica.
Back in the early 1900's, if you were in downtown Syracuse, you may have seen multiple trolley cars being used in the city streets. Most of those tracks were paved over, and lost to history. Just recently, some of the tracks saw sunlight once again in downtown.

If you browse Google Maps you'll notice a airport listed in Marcy called Riverside Airport. This airport hasn't seen any sort of planes landing at it since the late 90's. Since then, it has grown abandoned and time has truly forgotten this magical spot.
