No Toto, you aren't in Kansas anymore. The longest running Wizard of Oz Festival returns to Central New York for a huge celebration.

One of everyone's favorite movies is "The Wizard Of Oz", and on this day in 1939, it made its debut. The film propelled the career of 16 year old Judy Garland and became a classic film in American culture. I can still remember sitting on the gymnasium floor as a kid in second grade at Miller School (now Martin Luther King, Jr. School) in Utica as we watched it for the first time. Read Mo

A sad day for " Oz" Fans. One of the last  "Munchkins" from "The Wizard of Oz" film, Karl Slover, died at age 93. My daughter Lauren is a big "Oz" fan and met Mr. Slover (as seen in the photo) this past June at Oz-Stravaganza in Chittenango. Notice the resemblance? (No, not Karl Slover and me, my daughter and me).
