After a long week of voting, the Old Forge Eskimos have taken home the honor of best Herkimer County Mascot. Beginning tomorrow, the Eskimos will take on the Camden Blue Devils of Oneida County in the vote of a lifetime. That vote is for the title 'Best Central New York High School Mascot.'

The sports mascot is one that is sacred in all levels of competition. It is someone who leads fan in chants, dances, and rituals that will hopefully give their team to a victory. Well it's official. Oneida County has voted and the winner of "The Best High School Mascot in Oneida County" goes to Camden Central Schools. Their mascot is the Blue Devil and now they will go on to face the winner of Herkimer County's Best High School Mascot. Voting for that begins Monday, February 29th, 2016.
