Six Ft Drum soldiers are recovering this morning after being struck by lightning. The members of the 4th Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment were hit during a training exercise last night.

The homecomings continue at Ft Drumas soldiers return from Afghanistan. There's nothing like seeing families reunite, some who meet their children for the first time.

There's nothing more heart warming than watching military families being reunited. U.S. Army Major Del Boyer returned to Ft Drum after serving in Afghanistan. He surprise his son, Vincent and daughter, Cassie at SUNY Potsdam basketball camp. The kids thought they were being called up to receive an award. What they received instead was a happy homecoming.

Family and friends gathered at Ft Drum to welcome home their heroes. 300 members of the 3rd Brigade Combat Team returned after serving in Afghanistan and this video says it all.

Soldiers returned to Ft Drum after being stationed overseas in Afghanistan. The homecoming will bring tears to your eyes.
