Save the baking to the professionals! There is nothing better than the smell of a fresh baked pie taking over your house. Until you remember that they make candles that mimic the smell and flour makes a mess.

It seems New Yorkers are falling out of love with Buffalo chicken dip, which used to be the most popular Super Bowl snack. What happened?

This is not only a story of how a local Utica radio station manifested a new flavor of a beloved local pastry. It's a story about how said local community came together to help make it happen.

This is a zero-fuss kind of cake. It's also not made with any dairy, eggs or white sugar (the frosting has some powdered sugar but oh, well). Everything you see here: extra ultra moist dark chocolate cake and extra dark, better than buttercream frosting--is made with avocados. And it's everything a chocolate cake is supposed to be and then some with pure, organic mineral rich cacao sprinkled on top. Also, once it's frosted, it's decadent like a dark chocolate truffle.

A few months ago, we introduced you to Utica's Colossal Pretzel; now, they've expanded into dessert pretzels, and they look delicious. Is your mouth watering yet?

The 2015 Gourmet Guys to the Rescue event to benefit The Rescue Mission of Utica was a huge success! Not only was the turnout fantastic, the food incredible, but Big Frog 104 took home first place in the Desserts category. With my girlfriend's amazing Chocolate Covered Mint Oreo Balls recipe, we had people coming back for more.

Like many of you, I like cherry pie, cherry ice cream, and just plain cherries.  As a kid growing up in Utica, we had a cherry tree right in our backyard (and I cannot tell a lie, I did not chop it down).  Now, a new study says cherries, even in a pie can be good for you.
