Although it's still summer, before you know it, it will be back-to-school time. And with back-to-school time comes back-to-school shopping. And, with parents tightening up their budgets, those school supplies can be pricy. Unfortunately, according to a survey by the Huntington Bank Backpack Index, those back-to-school supplies aren't coming down in price.
It seems like everything has gone up in price. Whether it's daily essentials, like soap, or nourishing food, like fruits and vegetables, we keep on shelling out more and more. And, now, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, your nice backyard barbecue is costing you almost 30 percent more.
America's Research Group found that 33 percent of people polled in its survey are taking fewer trips to the store as the price of gas continues to soar.
