After a two year absence, a family-friends holiday tradition is making its return to Utica.

It's Christmas in the Adirondack Mountains Thanksgiving weekend to kick off the holiday season in Old Forge.

We're all counting down the hours until Santa officially arrives in Utica for Christmas on Main Street this Saturday.  And there's plenty of other free entertainment to keep us occupied until he does arrive.  Here's the time each act performs on stage at the historic Union Station.

The last thing on the minds of children Christmas morning, is breakfast.  It's all about seeing what Santa left under the tree, then playing with the new toys you received.  Since breakfast is the most important meal of the day, it's important to get the kids to eat.  The tradition at our house was croissants and cinnamon rolls my mother had made the night before.

What are turkey joints?  For a moment we will step away from the journalistic creed of objectivity and describe them as "yummaciousness."

Decisions, decisions. There are so many that come with a Christmas celebration.
