Even though no country stars have directly insulted the ‘Single White Female’ singer, she feels that after she came out she was greeted with a steely silence.

Country singer Chely Wright is leveraging her sphere of influence to continue promoting a cause that she cares deeply and personally about. Chely Wright's coming out story is coming out on film.  Filmmakers have been working with her on the documentary "Wish Me Away" for three years - well before she came out to the world as being gay.  A release date for the film has not been set yet, but the filmmakers are hoping to see it hit the screen sometime this year...
