The Boonville Oneida County Fair just announced this year's headliner for the fair; former FrogFest guest Rodney Atkins.

It was the perfect night for a concert at the packed grandstand at the Boonville-Oneida County fair on Saturday night. Josh Turner was the big musical guest and he did not disappoint. He also surprised many fans with his big beard, which is definitely not the look most country lovers are used to.

Whether it was riding the carnival attractions, eating a corndog or putting mustard in someone's shoes in the 4-H barn, the annual county fair was always a big part of summer growing up.  That part of summer begins July 28 at the Boonville-Oneida County Fair . Here's a list of daily activities.

Due to changes to Main Street in Boonville that occurred in the fall of 2014, the route of the Oneida County Fair parade has changed.

A sure sign we're in the midst of the Frog Days of Summer, the opening of the Boonville Oneida County Fair.  The 126th edition of the fair is themed, "Magic Is In The Air."  The fair runs Tuesday, July 22 through Sunday, July 27.  Click for a schedule of events at this years' fair.

The Boonville-Oneida County Fair concluded their 124th season this past weekend.  And for the first time ever, they held a giant zucchini contest.  Cornell Co-operative Extension distributed 600 seeds to Oneida County youth this year and despite some very dry conditions, some real whoppers were grown.  Check out the winners.
