Sometimes though, things do not go according to plan.

Participants in this year's Boilermaker Post Race Party will have another opportunity to help support victims of the Mohawk Valley Flooding.

I wish I could say it seems like yesterday but it doesn't really. It's been a long road but a great one and today, February 1, 2013, marks the 25th anniversary of country music's rebirth in Central New York. It was Monday morning, February 1, 1988 when the then "Jumpin' Country 96 Frog" later to become Big Frog 104 went on the air.

What are the odds of having a frog visit my home with me being a part of Big Frog 104? I have no idea - math wasn't my best subject. But, last night as I was putting out the Greg "Splashin'" McShea family garbage, a little, and I mean little frog appeared on a log by our fence.

Like most people my wife and I gave each other some pretty strong hints as to what we wanted for Christmas. But again like most people we both wanted to surprise each other with something unexpected. She got me a new Fender acoustic guitar, something I have wanted for a long time but thought I had kept a secret. And what surprise gift did I get her?

Sometimes at Big Frog 104 we find some cute animal videos that we like to share. And here's one today for dog lovers, and maybe this guy is headed to Craig Morgan's "Red Neck Yacht Club".

The sun was out, the temperatures were hot, the bands were great and the Big Frog 104 fans were having an amazing time. Saturday was the Wild West FrogFest and Rodeo at the Herkimer County Fairgrounds and it was a fun time had by all.
