Another event associated with America's Greatest Heart Run and Walk takes place this weekend, and this time it's the kids' turn.

WOW!  Another great pouring of support for the annual WIBX Great American Radiothon and Heart Run & Walk.  The American Heart Association raised over 1.1 million dollars over the two days and more than 8700 people participated in the run and walk.  Again this year Big Frog thanks the Hahn family on Elm Street for hosting Jeremiah this year.  Check out photos of the teams and participants. Today, we're featuring running and walking music on our "Country Classic Double" at 11:30 a.m., in honor of the American Heart Association's "America's Greatest Hear Run & Walk". We lead off with George Jones' big hit back in 1964 "The Race Is On". I know the the Heart Run/Walk isn't a race, but that tune is a great running song. We follow it up with Leroy Van Dyk

Happy March 1st. We made it through January and February, and now onto the home stretch as we approach spring. But, as Yogi Berra once said "It ain't over 'til it's over", so winter weather is still in the cards. There are a number of things we can look forward to in March.

It's a busy "Heart" week ahead, as this Thursday you can participate in the New Hartford Indoor Walk, and pre-register for "America's Greatest Heart Run &Walk". The American Heart Association's Heart Run & Walk is this Saturday, and the weekend begins with the 41st Annual WIBX Slocum Dickson Heart Radiothon Friday and Saturday.
