More Snow and Ice in Central New York Mid Week
Will Winter ever end in central New York? More snow and ice is on the way mid-week but at least it's not coming in feet.
Light snow is expected to move into central New York Wednesday afternoon, changing to a wintry mix Wednesday night (2/20). An inch or two of snow along with light ice accumulations are likely in Oneida, Onondaga, Madison counties, leading to some slick spots on the roads.
The good news is, temperatures will warm enough Thursday for the precipitation to end as rain.
"More chances for snow and mixed precipitation return later Saturday as a low pressure system developing in the Lower Midwest funnels warmer and more moist air into the region," according to the National Weather Service. Rain and periods of wintry mix continue through Sunday as this system moves through the Great Lakes.
How many days til Spring again?
