Less than a week after dropping her new song "Two Things," Kelsea Ballerini brought the new track to the People's Choice Country Awards stage on Thursday night (Sept. 26).

The country singer opened her performance staring into her reflection on the floor of the stage. As the camera panned up, Ballerini began the song positioned in a field of flowers. Eventually she rose to her feet and walked the stage, engaging the crowd with her vulnerable lyrics.

"Two things can be true / I'll love and hate you / I'll be your best and your worst day / I'll be your blessin' and curse, babe, yeah / Sometimes I'll cut and ghost / But sometimes I'll get too close / You're nothin' and everythin' I got to lose / Two things can be true / Two things can be true," she sings in the song's chorus.

Ballerini was nominated for four awards at this year's People's Choice Country Awards. In addition to being up for Female Artist and Social Country Star, she was listed for Crossover Song of the Year and Storyteller Song of the Year for her work with Noah Kahan on "Cowboys Cry Too" and "Sorry Mom," respectively.

She also brought her boyfriend Chase Stokes to the show with her. The two walked the red carpet with one another and didn't shy away from showing some cute public displays of affection for the cameras.

The People's Choice Country Awards took place at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tenn. The show was hosted by Shania Twain and was broadcast on NBC with streaming availability on Peacock.
