Irish storyteller Dierdre McCarthy will appear at the Herkimer College campus on March 3 to speak to audiences about her native Ireland.

McCarthy has been touring schools since 1995 teaching audiences about the history, beauty, and tradition of Ireland, and has performed for the Irish-American Cultural Institute.

The presentation will include Irish stories along with demonstrations of traditional Irish music, step dancing and all things Irish.

McCarthy was born and raised in Limerick City, Ireland and now lives in Central Square with her husband and children.

The event will be held March 3, at 12:30 p.m. at the Herkimer College - College Center building - room 288, and is free and open to the public.
