Armed To Farm is coming to Central New York.  "ATF" is free agriculture training for military veterans interested in starting a farm or who have been farming for 10 years or less.
The program is presented through Cornell's Small Farms Program and The National Center for Appropriate Technology. The free, week-long workshop will be held at the White Eagle Lodge in Hamilton from August 8th through August 12th.

Participants will learn about business planning, budgeting, recordkeeping, marketing, livestock production, vegetable production, and more.

The event is free for those chosen to attend; lodging, transportation to local farms, and most meals will be provided.  You can apply for a spot online, the deadline is July 1st. Chosen participants will be notified by July 8.  Here are more details or call 479-442-9824, email margoh@ncat.org.
