Additional Information

Ryan Waterman, 31 yrs old, found out after an ongoing illness that he has AML leukemia. He started out at University Hosp. with chemo first week of April and it worked killing the leukemia that was attacking his body. Chemo would have to be administered every month till a bone marrow transplant takes place on July 31st. Ryan transferred to Roswell Park in Buffalo for the transplant (3 hours away from home). His sister Helen was a perfect 10 out of 10 match for the bone marrow transplant. She is at Roswell for the week getting shots everyday till the transplant which will be a 5hr iv on the 30th and 31st and then stem cells will be collected and given to Ryan on the 31st.

Bills are piling up for Ryan who has an 8 year old daughter and a girlfriend who had to leave her job to become his 24/7 caregiver, (he was to be married in July but postponed it with the news). Ryan will have to stay in Buffalo for 100 days as part of his treatment. He will be hospitalized for 4 weeks then go to a hotel or guest house which ever is available. His family set up an acct. gofundme.com/help-ryan-waterman-beat-leukemia to help cover lodging, gas, food and medical expenses.

Only family and friends have been able to help so far and he has a long way to go and we don't want him to lose his home and everything else before he gets that chance to recover. If all goes well, he will be back to work a year from now.

He can come home after the 100 days with extreme caution for 3 more months till he starts vaccinations.
