Over the past few weeks, this central New York flower shop has given flowers to local nursing homes and hardworking medical staff. Now, they are offering free flowers to anyone in the community just before Easter.

Chester's Flower Shop and Greenhouses has been closed because of the coronavirus pandemic, but is serving central New York Thursday, April 9, for a drive-thru flower pick-up. From 1 to 4 p.m. on Thursday, people can drive up and employees will put at least one plant in their trunks, free of charge. Employees will choose which plant(s) you get, but you don't even need to get out of your car, so social distancing will remain intact.

Bill announced the event on Chester's Facebook page today, saying that despite being closed, they still want people to be able to enjoy the plants they have in their greenhouse.

"We need to get them out of the greenhouse and get them where someone can enjoy them for the Easter season," he said in the video. "We've donated some to some of our healthcare workers locally and even to some nursing homes, and now it's time for you to pick something up."
