A Fortune 500 company is expanding in the City of Rome, creating 60 new jobs in the Mohawk Valley.

Booze Allen Hamilton is planning to grow operations in Rome and will invest some $1.6 million to build, equip and outfit a new 14,000 square foot facility being built at Griffiss Business and Technology Park, according to a news release from Empire State Development.

The financial investment is part of a new real estate agreement including Griffiss Local Development Corporation and the New York State Technology Enterprise Corporation (NYSTEC). The new facility will be located at 99 Otis Street, next to the Air Force Research Laboratory and across from the UAS Operations Center.

Booz Allen Hamilton is a technology and management consulting firm focusing on analytics, digital solutions, engineering and cyber security, with more than 25,000 employees worldwide. They currently employ nearly 160 in their Rome, NY operation, supporting the aerospace market with emphasis on cyber technology, testing and evaluation, and system and software engineering, the release stated.

Already employing 158 people here in Rome, Booz Allen Hamilton will grow their job base by another 60 professional positions supporting the important mission of cyber technologies at the Griffiss Park.
