Looking to make a little extra money? Well, Amazon may be your answer. The internet retail company is making an effort to speed up their deliveries and though they are working on using drones, what would be quicker than people who are traveling?

Amazon is developing a mobile app that would enable regular people to deliver Amazon's products to its consumers instead of using the United Parcel Service, or other delivery services like that. According to an article on The Wall Street Journal's website,

The service could give Amazon more control over the shopping experience and help contain shipping costs that grew 31% last year, faster than revenue. It also might give the retailer negotiating leverage with the largest carriers.

Of course there are a number of red flags when it comes to something like this including theft, damage, etc. I am sure there would be extensive background checks involved with the people they hire to do this job, however Amazon officials have not commented on the possibility of this apps release. We already have seen services like Uber being created, which involves ordinary people driving other people to their destinations. Why can't the same concept apply to delivering packages. We'll have to wait and see what Amazon has in store.
