Worst College Sports Team Nicknames

While checking out some sports scores the other day I came across a basketball result, “UNLV Rebels 85 UC-Irvine Anteaters 57″. ANTEATERS? What kind of name is that for a sports team? For one thing they’re ugly for another they’re slow. Come to find out “Anteaters” is just one of a number of foolishly nicknamed college team nicknames. Check them out.
1-New Mexico Tech Pygmies—Who fears pygmies. Even fighting ones
2. Wichita State Shockers—Maybe a team of electricians
3. MIT Engineers—Really smart students. Really bad sports nickname
4. Stanford Cardinal—Pretty bird. Pretty bad nickname
5. Delta State University Fighting Okra
