Words or Phrases That Send You Off the Deep End

Are the certain words or phrases that send you off the deep end?  Sometimes they are connected to pop culture or are "things the kids say."  Marist College is out with their annual list of annoying words or phrases that we are all sick of.  But there's one that didn't make the list that always steams me.

For the second year in a row, "whatever" tops the annual Marist list.  Although less people hate it, than did last year.  Coming in 2nd is the phrase, "no offense, but."  In CNY that translates into, "not for nothin'."

But the one that sends me spinning is, "boss."  It seems like that everywhere I go from the drive-up window to retail outlets, I get called boss.  It infuriates me so much, that I walked out of furniture store when the sales person called me "boss" a second time.  To me it's a negative comment, maybe it comes form the Paul Newman movie, "Cool hand Luke."
