Woodsmen’s Field Days Open Today In Boonville

Lumberjacks and lumberjills from across the country have descended on Boonville for this weekends New York State Woodmen’s Field Days for three days of log rolling, axe throwing, speed sawing, great food, parades and much much more. The events website, starinfo.com, has gates opening at 8 this morning at the Boonville-Oneida County Fairgrounds.
The family friendly event will also feature a big fireworks display tonight beginning around 9:30 from Park Hill in Boonville near the water tower. Admission at the gate will be $10 per adult, $7 for children 12 and under an $8 for seniors 60 and over.
